Police bust sex racket, arrest pimp, Turkmenistan woman

Pune, Nov 2: The Pune Police has arrested a pimp and a Turkmenistan woman for allegedly running a sex racket.

According to the police the woman came to the country on a tourist visa and was running the sex racket with an accomplice in a flat in a residential society in Kothrud, Pune.
The accused were held after they sent a beguile customer to the flat in Madhukunj Society, Kothrud.

The arrested were identified as Sachin alias Kunal Baburao Kumbale of Chandannagar.

The police further revealed that the accused women said that they tried their luck in Bollywood movies but after all their afforts failed, they turned themselves to becoming a call girl.

"They were running a racket involving foreign nationals at Flat No. 501 of Madhukunj Society Phase-2 in Kothurd by placing advertisements for hi-fi escort services in newspapers," said Senior Police Inspector, Bhanupratap Barge, in-charge, Social Security Cell, Crime Branch.
