Ex K'taka Min Katta Subramanya Naidu granted bail
His bail plea hearing was adjourned earlier on Oct 24. He was jailed in an alleged land scam. Katta had stated that he was suffering from cancer. Earlier on October 17, the Special Lokayukta Court had dismissed his bail petition, but permitted him to undergo treatment for cancer in any hospital of his choice in India under police security in mufti.
The ex-minister has been in judicial custody since August 8 for his alleged involvement in the Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) scam. He was under treatment at the Victoria Hospital in Bangalore. Katta, his son and city Corporator Jagadish Katta and Managing Director of a software company Srinivasa are accused in the scam.
