Mussoorie: Man kills his second wife on honeymoon

Dehradun, Oct 16: A 32-year-old man killed his second wife on their honeymoon in Musoorie after being sick with their frequent arguments.

Sachin Mishra, the accused narrated the drowning story of Kanak, the victim, to the police. But during the interrogation, he confessed that he stoned Kanak and drove a nail into her body. After killing her, he dumped her body in a forest area on Wednesday, Oct 12, before leaving from Rishikesh. Sachin told the police that due to his relatives he was forced to divorce his first wife and married Kanak. But he couldnot get over the divorce which caused frequent arguments between the newly wedded couple.

GN Goswami, senior police officer of Dehradun was quoted as saying,"He was bent on hushing up the brutal murder and tried to conceal evidence pointing to his involvement in his wife's murder. Mishra eventually confessed to killing his wife on Saturday after sustained police interrogation."
