Case registered for stone pelting during SRK's Bhopal visit

Bhopal, Oct 15: City police has registered a case against unidentified persons for incidents of stone-pelting in front of a mall here during film star Shahrukh Khan's visit on Thursday. Police said the case had been registered as the mob present at DB mall here indulged in stone pelting injuring a Sub-Divisional Magistrate and some policemen.

They said the case has been registered under sections 353, 332, 147 and 148 of the IPC for assault to prevent public servants from discharging their duties. According to police, the stone pelting was done by those who did not have passes and hence were denied entry into the mall. Police expressed confidence that those involved in stone throwing would be identified during the investigation.
