MP: Parents bury 2-day-old baby girl alive

Bhopal, Oct 7: A 2-day-old baby girl was buried alive in the Bonda village of Madhya Pradesh. Fortunately, a farmer rescued the infant from facing a tragic death.

The farmer reportedly heard sound a baby crying when he was working in field on Thursday, Oct 6. Following the sound, he located the baby and managed to push her head above the ground.

The farmer took the baby to a near by government hospital. Doctors confirmed that the baby was only 2-day-old and also informed that she has been recovering well.

Archana Chitnis, the education minister visited the infant in the hospital. Police started investigation to locate the baby's parents. However, sources informed that the baby might not be given back to her parents if they will be located.
