Ravana temple opens once a year for ardent worshippers

According to reports, the Ravana Temple that was build in 1868 opens only once a year on the eve of Dussehra when people visit to pay a homage to the brave, intelligently and a able king of the Dravidian Gaud tribe.
Ravana has been remembered as one of the most learned, intelligent, noble king and an advocator of Sam Veda.
Reports also suggest that despite of Ravana kidnapping Sita, he never exploited her. The demon king has also been bestowed of being knowledgeable, excelling at medicines, sacred books, and sorcery.
Ravana is said to be an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva and is believed to have composed Shiva Tandava Stotra.
