K'taka CM demands removal of BSY images from ambulances

The ambulances operating under the Arogya Kavacha programme will now have the state emblem.
Sources also reveal that the present CM did not want the photographs of politicians to be used to derive political mileage.
“This is a personal view of the chief minister and should not be construed as any disrespect to the decision of his predecessor BS Yeddyurappa, whose photograph, along with that of the then health minister Sriramulu, was displayed on the ambulances. The new chief minister is just not comfortable with using ambulances for political mileage," said sources.
“The chief minister is of the view that ambulances should not look like a photo gallery of politicians and has instructed officials to ensure that ambulances have the state government"s emblem instead of photographs," they further added.
The Congress had alleged that the photographs of Yeddyurappa and Sriramulu displayed on the ambulances was a scheme being funded by the Centre.
