Goondaraj in UP;trucker beaten to death for not paying bribe

Chandoli, Sept 26: Clashes have erupted in Chandoli district after a truck driver was beaten to death by a Transport officer and his colleagues for refusing to pay a bribe. Ensuing the police brutality in the National Highway, the police and local villagers are involved in fierce clashes. The victim has been reported to be named Anant Gupta.

The villagers are blocking the NH-2 with the police resorting to firing bullets to disperse the angry mob,

Gupta had to face this brutality just because he refused to bribe the corrupt officials. The National Highways are the perfect places where police officials fleece truck drivers by forcing them to into paying them money as bribes.
