Baba Ramdev to attend supporter Rajbala's funeral

New Delhi, Sep 26: Baba Ramdev will attend the funeral of dead Rajabala, his supporter who succumbed to her injuries on Sep 26 after she was injured during the police crackdown at the Ramlila Maidan.

51-year-old Rajbala was undergoing treatment at the GB Pant Hospital since Jun and was said to be in 'critical condition' then.

Rajbala was seriously injured in the police lathi-charge that took place on Jun 6 which left many of the Ramdev supporters injured. She was admitted to the ICU.

The victim had undergone a cervical joint replacement surgery on Jun 6. It was on her insistence that she went to support Baba Ramdev's cause despite her family's pressure that she leave the venue at midnight. She was injured when police stormed into the venue and lathi-charged people.

Meanwhile, Delhi police claimed that Rajbala was injured after she got stuck in a stampede during the crackdown.
