Quake-hit Sikkim: Narendra Modi sends Rs 2 cr as relief

On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today announced an assistance of Rs five crore for the quake-affected in Sikkim. Also, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram today visited Gangtok and other parts of Sikkim and announced Rs 50 crore as relief.
The death toll in the quake reached 112, with 70 dead only in Sikkim. More than 150 were injured. Chidambaram visited hospitals in Gangtok and inquired about the health of the injured people.
