I am ready to cooperate with CBI: Sreeramulu

Bellary, Sept 17: Former Karnataka minister and arrested mining baron G Janardhana Reddy's business associate, B Sreeramulu today (Sept 17) said he had not been served any notice by the CBI in connection with its probe into illegal mining and would cooperate with the agency if summoned.

Denying reports that he had gone underground, Sreeramulu told reporters here: "I have not been served any notice by CBI. If CBI gives me notice, I will cooperate with it in the investigations. I am not an absconder as sought to be projected by the media."

Sreeramulu, who submitted his resignation as MLA to Speaker K G Bopaiah on September 4, ruled out withdrawing it. "I have communicated my views to the Speaker", he said but did not elaborate.

CBI has arrested Janardhana Reddy and his brother-in-law Srinivasa Reddy on September 5 in connection with alleged illegal mining.
