Nitin Gadkari's new 'avatar': To lose 30 kgs of weight soon

Mumbai, Sept 16: BJP president Nitin Gadkari, who on Tuesday, Sept 13 underwent a gastric bypass surgery is expected to lose 30-40 kgs of weight. Gadkari had undergone a successful surgery and is fit to be discharged from a private hospital in Mumbai after treatment of Type II diabetes.

His surgeon Muffazal Lakdawala said, "Medically, he is fit now...he should be back to work within a week." Commenting on the surgery, he said, "This is the last option that we had...the diabetes had started affecting the kidneys and the functioning of the pancreas."

The BJP honcho has had a poor control of sugar due to diabetes. He had difficulty in controlling his sugar levels and was advised surgery by doctors attending on him.
