Father kills baby by smashing it against wall

Salem (TN), Sep 7: A 40-day-old male baby was allegedly killed here today (Sep 7) by his own father who allegedly smashed him against a wall following a domestic dispute at Omalur in the district, police said.

Nitheeswaran (28) used to quarrel regularly with his wife of four months, Vanitha (21), who he had married after she bacame pregnant, police said.

The couple had another argument today, following which Nitheeswaran allegedly smashed the baby against the wall, killing him in the process, police said.

Nitheeswaran was arrested and booked under section 302 of the IPC (Murder), they added.
