Now Sonia Gandhi steps in to coax Anna Hazare to end fast

New Delhi, Aug 25: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday, Aug 25 (today) appealed to the Gandhian Crusader Anna Hazare to end his fast.

Her appeal came after all the efforts of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to coax the anti corruption crusader to end his fast went in vain.

Sonia Gandhi is currently in the US after undergoing a surgery there and is expected to come back to the country by Aug end.

Reports suggest that Sonia is keeping a close eye on the developments in the country.

Meanwhile, Vilasrao Deshmukh today (Aug 25) met Anna Hazare at Ramlila Maidan. The main demands of the Gandhian will be put forward in front of the Prime Minister and then be discussed.

Reports also suggest that the Prime Minister called a meeting with senior ministers to discuss over Anna's proposals.

Anna's supporter and ex-IPS officer Kiran Bedi said that Anna will speak to the people at the evening.
