Amitabh Bachchan conveys best wishes to Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi, Aug 6: Superstar Amitabh Bachchan conveyed best wishes to Congress President Sonia Gandhi after she underwent a surgery in the US.

"We wish Soniaji recovers as soon as possible. Our prayers and good wishes are with her," said Bachchan who is in Delhi to promote his Bollywood movie Aarakshan.

Bachchan's movie which is set to release on Aug 12 is already laden with controversy. The film talks in depth about the politics behind reservation. Concerning law and order situation, the superstar's visit to Uttar Pradesh was cancelled earlier.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, Sonia Gandhi has been shifted from the ICU after remaining there for 24 hours.
