Vigilance Court rejects plea against Superstar Mohanlal

The plea, filed by PD Joseph, a social worker also sought an enquiry into the Divisional Forest Officer, Palarivattom and Chief Forest Conservator, Thiruvananthapuram as they failed to take any action on Mohanlal despite reports of seized elephant tusks from his residence.
V Jayaram, Vigilance Judge, said that a case against the superstar cannot be filed merely on the basis of newspaper reports.
The residence and offices of Malayalam superstars, Mammootty and Mohanlal were raided by the Income Tax Department on Friday, Jul 22 after there were reports of financial irregularities by both of them.
Two elephant tusks were found at Mohanlal's residence in Kochi in the IT-Raids.
