Suresh Kalmadi trips off stairs in AIIMS, Dementia at play?

He also had to wait for five fours to get admitted to the hospital. The tainted chief has been lodged in the Tihar jail for the past three months for his alleged role in the multi crore CWG scam. The Chief was admitted for "complete evaluation" after he complained of dizziness in a private ward in AIIMS.
Kalmadi was first taken to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital after which he was referred to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital.
"After reading the MRI reports, doctors advised us to get him checked by a good neuro-specialist at AIIMS or GB Pant hospital. Kalmadi requested in writing to be admitted to AIIMS," said a jail official.
"He has several cardio-vascular system-related problems, and diabetes. We cannot say anything until all the test results have come. But it does not mean he is suffering from dementia," said Dr M V Padma, professor, department of Neurology.
"Kalmadi has been admitted in room number 1001 of the CN Tower," said a doctor.
Kalmadi had earlier claimed that he was "all right".
"Ask the doctors. Can't I have a check-up?" said a visibly irritated Kalmadi when asked about his condition.
