Delhi: Teen raped on pretext of job offer by gym instructor

New Delhi, Aug 2: A 17-year-old girl was raped by her gym instructor after he lured her into giving a job.

Navin, the accused, a resident of Rohini was arrested after the victim's medical report confirmed raped.

A case under IPC section 366 and 376 has been registered at the Rohini North police station.

The girl who hails from Nangoli in West Delhi completed her course as a dietician and was searching for a job, said P Karunakaran, additional DCP.

"The girl had met Navin several times. He had promised to give get her a job at his gym that was located in Rohini sector 8. On Sunday, the accused called the girl over to his office and after asking her a few questions, asked her to accompany him to Pitampura. Navin told the girl that his boss stays there and it is he who would take the final decision,'' said Karunakaran.

The police said that the the victim was raped after she went to his flat in Pitampura. The girl then lodged a complaint with the police after narrating the whole incidence to her parents. The cops raided the house of the accused and arrested him.
