European women in a scandal over 'Yoga Guru'

Bhopal, Jul 31: Two European women were being trapped in a scam around some fake "Yoga Guru" scandal. The two victims - 25-year-old Els Harmsen and 27-year-old Ilka Braunstein who are from Holland and Germany respectively lost almost 1,450 euro each at the hand of the fake Indian "yoga guru."

The two victims reached Khajuraho, a place in Madhya Pradesh on Jul 25 and paid 1,450 euro each to join a course to become official representatives of Yoga.

A website - www.arihantayoga.org allegedly lured the two European women whose "dream career" left them devastated financially in this "foreign" country.

While filing FIR, one of the victims said, "The photographs on the website were so beautiful. I wanted to get trained there with guidance from qualified trainers."

Initial police investigation revealed that twenty more European tourists, most of them were women, were cast in the same scam started by the website.
