TN: Police arrests DMK MLA Anbazhagan for land grabbing

Chennai, Jul 30: Tirupur police arrested DMK MLA J Anbazhagan on Saturday, Jul 30 over the allegations of land grabbing.

The latest high profile attack came few days after police arrested another DMK senior leader former minister Veerapandi Arumugam. Sources reported that Anbazhagan, who represents Chepauk constituency was arrested from his house by the police.

Also DMK's South Chennai District Secretary, Anbazhagan was allegedly involved in a land grabbing case. But the DMK leaders said that the case was framed by their rival AIADMK and the new Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

Earlier, police also booked KN Nehru and several close aides of Union Minister MK Alaigiri following complaints of land grabbing filed against them.
