Anna to fast from Aug 16 over "fractured" Lokpal bill

New Delhi, Jul 28: Anna Hazare on Thursday, Jul 28 highly "disappointed" over the present Lokpal bill that has been termed as "fractued and unhealthy" by the Anna team. He has reiterated his vow of starting the fast from August 16 at the Jantar Mantar.

“This Lokpal Bill is a joke played on the nation … the govt has betrayed the nation. We will fight tooth and nail for it," asserted Anna.

Team Anna rubbishing the draft said that "the current Lokpal bill is not in favour of the common man." It has been criticised that the bill will achieve nothing. This approved draft will be presented in the Parliament's monsoon session. The Govt draft also brings in a limited period of 7 years to take up cases of corruption.
