K'taka: BSY directed to file application to implead his govt

Bangalore, Jul 26: The lawyer appearing for Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa has been directed by the High Court Governor HR Bhardwaj to file an application to implead the government in the land scam cases.

A division bench constituting of Justices B V Nagarathna and Ajit Gunjal had adjourned the hearing to Aug 16 for a petition filed by the Chief Minister. The petition had challenged HR Bhardwaj's approval to prosecute BSY in land scam cases.

PP Rao, senior advocate, Supreme Court coming into court on behalf of the complainants said the Chief Minister's petition could not be maintained and hence had to be brushed off on the brink itself.
