Chennai: Tamil actor threatened by assailants

Chennai, Jul 26: A small-time film actor submitted a petition to the police commissioner and sought action against brother of ex-Fisheries Minister, KPP Samy and his friends for attacking and robbing him.

According to the victim, R Baranidharan, Palagai Thotti Kuppam, Tiruvottiyur he was assaulted and robbed by Chockalingam before being pushed away into the sea in 2006 near KVK Kuppam. Despite of filing a complaint with the police, no action was taken.

"Chockalingam and his friends threatened me and my family to stay away from their residence. My family members left the house leaving their ancestral property at KVK Kuppam and stayed at a separate house in Palagai Thotti Kuppam," said Baranidharan.
