Sathya Sai received two gold garlands weighing 7 kg

Puttaparthi, Jul 23: Various valuables were recovered during the three rounds of inventory at Yajur Mandir, Sathya Sai's personal chamber by officials earlier.

In the rummaging imported bottles of shampoo, shaving kit, soaps and napkins were also recovered by officials in addition to 5000 branded watches and dry fruits.

Sathya Sai was also fond of perfumes, said a close aide of Baba.

Though Baba received expensive gifts from his devotees, he never used any of those. According to the officials Baba also received two gold garland which weighed around 6-7 kg but they were found it under a table without the packets being opened.

"A devotee donated 75 silver glasses each weighing 700 gm in a carton during his 75th birthday fete. But the carton was never opened. We found it in one of the rooms," said the official.

There were rumours that Baba's bed was made of gold and silver, but later it was found that it was not true.
