L&T bags Rs 1,210 crore deal in Qatar

Mumbai, Jul 20: Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the technology, engineering and construction group bagged a deal of Rs 1,210 crore in Qatar. L&T received the deal from Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) for Supply and Construction of thirteen extra high voltage (EHV) substations in the nation.

The order, which has been bagged by L&T, is the single largest order for the company's power transmission and distribution (PT&D) operations in GCC countries.

Recently, L&T completed its six 66 kV Substations for KAHRAMAA successfully. The latest deal, which is valued Rs 1,210 crore has reinforced the company's operational competency in countries like Qatar.
