Guj: Constable slits wife's throat, later attempts suicide

Bhavnagar, Jul 20: In a recent incident in Gujarat, a man, who is a constable of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) allegedly killed his wife and attempted suicide in Kaliabid area on Tuesday night, Jul 19.

Dalsukh Rathod, 31-year-old killed his wife Kalpana, 41-year-old by slitting her throat at their house at Jeevan Apartment. According to the police, Rathod later attempted suicide by consuming poison.

Though he was immediately rushed to the civil hospital, his condition is still critical. Rathod is posted in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and was here on a leave. A case of murder has been registered against him.
