How to book Tata Nano Home @ Rs 32k - World's cheapest house

Mumbai, Jul 18: Tata is all set to surprise the world once again. After the launch of its historic 'World's Cheapest Car' Tata Nano, Tata is planning to launch world's cheapest home at Rs 32,000 only. Yes, you read it right! If you are lucky enough, you can book your Tata Nano Home at Rs 32,000.

With the announcement of Tata Nano House, internet users across India are searching for Tata Nano Home website or the ways to book the new Nano Homes. But, unfortunately, Tata has not yet started the bookings for the World's cheapest housing plan. Moreover Tata's Housing website is also not providing any details.

Tata announced its new plan to build low-cost homes on Friday, Jul 15. Tata is planning to make homes in rural parts of India, which faces more shortage of housings. The 2001 census places the rural housing shortage figure in India at 1.48 crore.

Company said that there are two models, the basic model at Rs 32,000 with 20 sq metres and the upgraded model at Rs 44,000 with 30 sq metres. If you have a patch of land, the house can be built in seven days. The company is also planning other models with a solar panel on the roof of the house.

"At present, the housing project is in the pilot stage in 30 locations spread across the country and we are in discussions with various agencies like Coir Board, Jute Board and also State governments," Sumitesh Das, head global research programme of Tata Steel, said.
