CWG: ED vows to take action against ex-Prasar Bharati CEO
New Delhi, Jun 21: Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday, Jun 21, vowed to take a stern action against former Prasar Bharati CEO BS Lalli over CWG 2010 scam.
Earlier, the investigative agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Lalli and conducted raids at Lalli's residences.
Lalli, who is also an IAS officer of the 1971 batch, was accused of involving in the irregularities regarding CWG broadcasting rights.
Lalli was suspended after Prime Minister's Office (PMO), depending on Information and Broadcasting Ministry's approval, ordered criminal proceedings against Lalli.
The ministry had earlier showed green signal to CBI to probe Lalli's role in awarding broadcasting rights of the Commonwealth Games to UK based SIS Live.
