Police records the death of Jaipal Reddy's niece as murder

Hyderabad, Jun 20: Hyderabad Police registered the death of Union Minister for Petroleum S Jaipal Reddy's niece, Kiran Reddy as murder.

Kiran Reddy's death was highly controversial as on Sunday, Jun 19, the father of the deceased alleged that his son-in-law and his parents might be behind his daughter"s death.

Dr Kiran Reddy (26), a dermatologist, was found dead in her room in her house at Nyaya Vihar in Bharani Layout on Road No 78, Jubilee Hills. Kiran Reddy, who was married to Chaitanya Reddy, is also a doctor. Her mother, Bharathi, is the elder sister of Jaipal Reddy.

According to Jubilee Hills police inspector K Narsing Rao, Kiran Reddy, after returning from the party hosted by her brother on Friday, Jun 17, was found unconscious in her room and was admitted to a corporate hospital at Jubilee Hills where she was declared dead.

The Jubilee Hills Police initially registered a case of suspicious death under Section 174. But now, the police altered the case to Section 302 (murder) of IPC.

Raghottam Reddy complained that it wasn't a natural death. He alleged Kiran's husband and in-laws behind the sudden death.
