Delhi: Jayalalithaa chooses BJP 1st over PM, Shiela Dikshit

Jayalalithaa, who reached Delhi by Monday afternoon, rushed to meet Prasad, though she was expected to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Delhi CM Shiela Dikshit.
However, after her meeting with BJP's Ravishankar, the Tamil Nadu CM claimed that it was not a politically motivated meeting.
Jayalalithaa will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday, Jun 14. The AIADMK chief is expected to take up issues concerning Tamil Nadu including power crisis and problems faced by Indian fishermen.
The emotive Sri Lankan Tamils issue is also on the cards, with the state Assembly passing a unanimous resolution seeking that New Delhi and other countries impose economic sanctions to ''rein in'' Colombo on this matter.
The sudden attraction for Jayalalithaa in Congress and BJP has been experienced when the AIADMK supremo won a landslide victory over the then ruling DMK during the state assembly election in 2011.
