Syrian Forces siege Jisr al-Shoughour

The Syrian state television has reported that due to heavy firing in al-Sarmaneyah, a village five miles from the flashpoint town of Jisr al-Shoughour, the people had fled from both towns and much of the surrounding countryside. Infact the residents burned tyres on the streets to slow down the advancement of the army troops. But now, the town is under military control.
Jisr al-Shoughour town's unrset has now risen as a crucial issue for both the Syrian government and its opponents. Reports claims that the soldiers have defected to the opposition. Infact they refused to fire on civilian demonstrators.
“They are going to raid the city but we don"t know when," said Ahmad, a 28-year-old resident said. “Most of us are not armed. We will be completely exterminated." It seems as a determined punishment for the residents of Jisr al-Shoughour.
