Baba Ramdev: Partial bandh observed in Jammu

Jammu, Jun 8: Jammu and adjoining areas today observed partial bandh amid protest marches against corruption and eviction of yoga guru Baba Ramdev and his supporters from the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on June 5.

Apart from educational institutions, the normal attendance in government offices and various commercial establishments was affected as the city witnessed a decrease in the public transport movement.

The bandh called by Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Yog Samiti and was supported by several political parties like BJP and Panthers Party besides various other social and commercial organisations of the state.

There were also reports of partial bandh being observed at Udhampur, Kathua and Samba districts of Jammu region. However, no untoward incident was reported from any part.
