Air India to shut down?

Air India
Mumbai, Jun 1: Air India is going through a huge loss. After its pilots went on a strike demanding increase in the pay rolls, Air India is forced to ground 10% of its flights to overcome the dues it has to pay to fuel companies.

Around 60 Air India flights have been pulled back from both the domestic and international routes, many of them connecting to airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and London.

Air India owes about Rs 2, 700 crore to fuel companies. After the oil companies rejected to give additional credit to the airline, the airline is compelled to operate only on terms of pay and fly since it does not have enough money to fly the whole week.
