Suspicious object causes bomb scare in Delhi

New Delhi, May 30: A suspicious object was found near Gargi college bus stop in Delhi on Monday, May 30 creating havoc among people.

A bomb disposal squad has been rushed to the spot after Police received a call.

The object has been found with wires and batteries attached and some powder was seen lying said the Police. According to Amulya Patnaik, Joint Commissioner, Southern Range, the object resembles a firecracker and added that no explosives have been found in the object. He further said that it could be a prank played by someone.

Meanwhile the home ministry expressed their concern over the issue and have asked the police to tighten the security in the capital.

Few days ago a low intensity blast took place outside the Delhi high court. The explosive was kept in a car creating panic among people though no casualties were reported.

This is the second bomb scare in a week.
