Tamil star Rajinikanth to go abroad for better treatment

Chennai, May 27: Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who has always entertained and thrilled viewers with his immense power of acting and movie characters, decided to go abroad for better treatment.

OneIndia earlier had reported that the Shivaji hero soon may visit doctors abroad for his better treatment. Now, sources close to the superstar confirmed that Rajinikanth with his family members will go to Singapore for further treatment.

The 60-year-old hero has been suffering from acute gastro-intestinal and respiratory problems and has been admitted to hospital thrice since Apr 29. Sources confirmed that Rajinikanth may start his journey on Friday (May 27) or Saturday.

Citing the media hype over Rajinikanth's health, his wife Latha had said, "Rajini has a normal human body. He is not a super human. He is down with infection," and also added, "Don't worry about his health and don't get scared by high-sounding medical terminology."

Criticising the media, Mrs Rajinikanth also said, "The media should not put out misleading reports...please help us, please give the family our privacy."
