US law firm inks deal with Haryana law school
New Delhi, May 24: US-based law firm White and Case has inked a deal with Haryana-based Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) to support its legal education courses.
"Our collaboration with JGLS is part of the firm''s long-term commitment to India," said White and Case law firm''s chairman Hugh Verrier.
"Our association with this global law school will help prepare a new generation of lawyers who can operate effectively in a globalized world," the chief of the US law firm, which has 37 offices in 25 countries, said.
JGLS is one of the colleges of Haryana-based O P Jindal Global University.
The agreement, which calls for visiting faculty arrangements, joint conferences, seminars and internships for JGLS students, was signed in Delhi on Monday, May 23.
"The agreement with White and Case marks a historic opportunity underscoring the importance of globalization of legal education and the legal profession in India," Professor C Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor of O P Jindal Global University and Dean of JGLS, said.
