TN Agriculture Min assures adequate fertilisers to farmers

Erode (TN), May 21: AIADMK Government would soon take steps to solve fertiliser shortage faced by farmers in Tamil Nadu, state Agriculture Minister K A Sengottiyan has said.

Sengottiyan said he had raised the issue of fertiliser shortage in assembly and requested then Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to take it up with the Centre, but nothing was done.

Talking to reporters on Fiday, May 20, at Gobichettipalayam, his assembly constituency, the Minister said soon Chief Minister Jayalalithaa would solve the issue and assured that farmers would get adequate fertilsier.

Earlier, he held discussions with the Agriculture and other departmental officials in Gobichettipalayam.

He also said Jayalalithaa was taking hectic efforts to solve the power crisis and soon would arrange for uninterrupted electricity supply to all.
