K'taka: Enemy's enemy is a friend; Cong in support of Guv

BS Yeddyurappa
Bangalore, May 17: While sources claim that Governor HR Bhardwaj has dashed off an ultimatum to the Centre - "sack BJP government in Karnataka or I quit", Congress workers have raised the bar by taking protest onto the streets of Bangalore.

This move has crippled the normalcy in Bangalore. The rivalry has come out in support of Governor's recommendation to dissolve the BS Yeddyurappa government on the grounds of procedural lapses of
constitutional provisions, misuse of office for personnel gains and graft charges against Chief Minister Yeddyurappa and company.

Governor's recommendation for dismissal of BJP state government in Karnataka comes in the wake of Supreme Court squashing the plea of disqualifying 11 BJP rebel MLAs and 5 independent MLAs. This has paved the way for fresh charges against Yeddyurappa govt of misusing constitutional positions. The disqualifying of 16 dissent MLAs by Speaker helped Yeddyurappa win the trust votes and save his chief-ministership, six months ago.

Governor believe that it's the right time to rout out the BJP government, meanwhile, opposition parties sneaking it's way to use the political crisis wisely. Hence, it could boot out Yeddyurappa and party, which has come to power in Karnataka for the very first time.

The BJP also launched a counter rally as an attempt to save it's government, shouting anti-Governor slogans and demanding his recall.
