Will there be a 2G reunion party in Tihar jail?

New Delhi, May 6: It seems that former telecom minister A Raja will soon get his old partner, DMK leader Kanimozhi, among other companions in Delhi's Tihar jail. The investigating agency central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) looks all set to arrest the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's daughter who is one of the prime accused in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.

CBI charge-sheeted Kanimozhi, a Rajya Sabha MP, and accused her of accepting a 214-crore bribe along with her party-man Raja in 2008 while allocating the second generation telecom spectrum to several tainted telecom companies at a throwaway price.

However, Kanimozhi herself claimed, "If that is what the legal system wants...we have to face everything legally...we cannot run away from things like the opposition leader in Tamil Nadu does."

"We have to respect the court...we have to face it...I can't keep running away. We have to face whatever the courts decide and I don't want to speculate...let's wait and see what happens tomorrow (Friday, May 6)."

Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar, another accused in the case, have appeared before the Delhi's Patiala court on Friday and CBI sources claimed that the investigative agency will not miss this "golden opportunity" to crack the DMK leader completely. If the Dravidian girl is detained, she will be the first DMK family member in Tihar jail.
