Superstar Rajinikanth hospitalised; released


Chennai, Apr 30: He is a superstar not only for the Tamilians but for the fan followers all over the world. A man, who surprised and amused all with unique roles in his movies, was admitted to hospital briefly.

Rajinikanth was taken to hospital on Friday, Apr 29 when he was attending mahurat of his movie - Rana.

The actor reportedly suffered from food poisoning and dehydration and was admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) of St Isabel Hospital in Chennai.

Rajinikanth's wife Lata Rajinikanth, however, claimed that the actor's condition is "very well and fine". She also added, "We wanted to ensure that he did not get dehydrated and rests for a while. As a precautionary measure, we brought him to the hospital."

While asked about his discharge from the hospital, Mrs Rajinikanth informed, "It was for the doctors to decide," and also added, "He is fine and in the safe hands of the doctors."

The superstar, finally, has been discharged and was taken home late in the evening on Friday, Apr 29.
