Injured Athlete case: Divorcee Sonu tried to commit suicide!

Lucknow, Apr 27: Arunima alias Sonu Sinha's case has taken a shocking turn when police sources claimed that she was not pushed out of the train but she indeed tried to commit suicide.

Oneindia on Tuesday, Apr 26 reported how Railway police gushed up to the investigation and they collected all loopholes in the statement of Sonu who is a national level volleyball and football player.

Proving all its speculations true, the investigating team revealed that Sonu on Apr 11 tried to commit suicide as she was mentally disturbed over her divorce.

Sonu married Robin Chitravanshi in 2010 but the couple failed to maintain their marital life and got divorced soon, police sources informed. Police tracked the call details of Sonu's mobile phone and claimed to have unearthed the original story.

Police sources also informed that Sonu on Apr 10 tried to conciliate with her husband but all in vain. The national level athlete then started for Delhi to meet her friend Navneet Mishra alias Monu. Sonu and Monu were allegedly in love, though Sonu was rejected again, police sources added.

However, the GRP investigating team has not commented on the revealations officially but sources reported that the truth will be unearthed soon.

Meanwhile, Sonu claimed that GRP police is "lying" and also added, "I don't know whether the police is with me or against me. I was going to CISF, Noida office to inquire about the Centre for physical exam scheduled on May 7 and to ensure a correction in my date of birth in the call letter I have received."
