Criminal contempt case: Shanti Bhushan's dig on Amar Singh

New Delhi, Apr 18: The first attack from Anna Hazare's team hurled on Amar Singh, the former Samajwadi Party leader. Shanti Bhushan, the former law minister and the co-chairman of the joint committee to set up the anti-corruption bill - "Lokpal Bill," filed a criminal contempt case against Amar Singh.

Shanti Bhushan moved the Supreme Court and asked for proper investigation accusing Amar Singh of fabricating a CD not only to defame the senior advocate but also to interfere in the administration of justice.

Shanti Bhushan, in his petition to the court has accused Amar Singh of trying to derail the 2G case and influence the judiciary by the fabricated CD.

Bhushan also requested the court to set up a a special investigation team to probe into the 'fabrication of CD' which was meant to defame him.
