Patna, Mar 18: Ruling JD(U) MLC Vinod Kumar Chaudhary today demanded the hike in the age limit to 40 years for general category candidates in the 53rd and 55th Bihar Combined Civil Services examination.

The state government should consider giving more opportunities to the aspirants to clear the state combined civil services examination by raising the age limit for the general candidates to 40 years from the present 37 years, he said during zero hour in the legislative council.

States like Jharkhand and Haryana have already raised the age limit for general candidates to 40 in their civil services examinations, Chaudhary said.

The JD(U) MLC also demanded raise in the age limit of OBC and SC/ST candidates to 43 and 45 years respectively in the combined civil services examination.
