Black Money: Hasan Ali bailed out; ED to move Supreme Court

New Delhi, Mar 13: Hasan Ali is now free on bail in the biggest money laundering case. A court in Mumbai earlier criticised the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials over their lack of preparation. Now, ED has decided to move the Supreme Court demanding cancellation of the bail to Hasan Ali.

The officials of ED claimed that during the hearings in Mumbai trial court, the main and definite information about Hasan Ali's alleged money laundering activities were snubbed.

The case of of black money tashed abroad is also handled by the Supreme Court and the ED feeld that the court will able to pronounce the right judgment in the Hasan Ali case.

Earlier on Friday, Mar 11, the Mumbai court bashed the enforcement directorate as the court stated, "You (ED) have not been able to make any case and you want me to hear you. If you want to do some homework, you can take time."

Ali has been accused of stowing away 8 billion dollars in Swiss bank accounts and has been asked to pay 70,000 crores as penalty for tax evasion.
