Jagan's YSR Congress Party launched to wipe out poor's tears

During his speech in a public meeting, Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed, "The YSR Congress Party will wipe out every tear of the poor."
He made the much awaited announcement in a public meeting in Jaggampet in East Godavari district. The formal launch was made at his fathers grave in Idupulapaya, Kadapa district. YSR Reddy was killed in a helicopter crash in 2009.
Accompanied by his mother Vijayalakshmi, former legislator, and other family members, the 38-year-old leader launched the party. The party flag features three colours with the picture of a turbaned YSR in the center.
Jagan is using the massive political clout enjoyed by his father to his advantage. But the launch of his party was comparatively low key so as not to break the election code of conduct. The Kadapa MP's supporters rallied behind their leader so that he would carry on the legacy of YSR Reddy who almost had iconic status in his constituency.
Jagan had vowed to take revenge on the Congress' snub when the Congress high command chose the now Chief Minister of AP, Kiran Kumar Reddy as K Rosiah's successor rather than Jagan as Chief Minister.
