Couple shot over property dispute in Noida

Noida, March 9: A married couple were fired on Wednesday, Mar 9 by some men at Nithari crossing here over alleged property dispute, police said today. Meena and her husband Munnawar Hussain were shot at around 8 PM by the assailants who were travelling in the Scorpio vehicle, they said.

The bullet hit the wife in her abdomen while her husband also sustained injuries, they said.

The couple were rushed to the Kailash Hospital where the wife's condition is said to be critical while that of her husband is stable, doctors said.

Earlier, police suspected it to be a road rage incident until the couple identified one of the accused and stated property dispute as the reason, police said, adding the statement of her husband is being recorded.
