TN govt nod for Rs 24,230 cr worth industrial projects

Chennai, Feb 26 (PTI) Tamil Nadu Government today gave itsclearance to various industrial projects involving totalinvestment of Rs 24,230 crore.

The projects were from Indian Oil Corporation, Mahindra andMahindra, Apollo Tyres, Madras Cements, Samsung India and tenother companies, an official release here said.

Through these investments, over 15,000 jobs were expectedto be created in the state, it said.

Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin presented the contingencyexpenses and government orders to the respective companyofficials at the Secretariat, it said.

Industries Secretary Rajeev Ranjan and other seniorgovernment officials were present on the occasion.
