Students protest against ''fake'' pharmacy colleges
Ghaziabad, Feb 26 (PTI) Students of two pharmacy collegeshere launched protests against their respective managements,accusing them of "faking" their status as being affiliated tothe Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
The protests by students of D J College of Pharmacy inModi Nagar area entered its third day today when they lockedthe gates of the college.
The students also registered a complaint with theDistrict Magistrate against Chairman Ajit Singh, accusing himof duping them of lakhs of rupees taken as fees even thoughthe college was not affiliated to the PCI.
In another instance, students of Oxford College ofPharmacy here lodged a complaint against five persons,including Chairman Upendra Mahato, in Musoori police stationon similar charges of fake status.
The fate of the students hangs in the balance as thecolleges are allegedly not recognised by the PCI.
