Rs 8 crore for beautification of ghats

Kolkata, Feb 25 (PTI) A sum of Rs 8 crore has beensanctioned for the beautification of eight ghats of the riverganga in Kolkata, Kolkata Municipal Corporation sources saidtoday.

The beautification of the ghats of the banks of the gangaare jointly being done by the KMC, Kolkata Port Trust andRailway, KMC MMIC (Parks and Gardens) Debashis Kumar said.

The survey work for the beautification of the ghats hasbeen done by RIITES, he said.

Kumar also said a sum of Rs 3 crore has been sanctionedfor the Canal West Road.
