Panther found dead near Gondia forest

Gondia, Feb 25 (PTI) Carcass of a full grown panther wasfound near a forest here with initial reports suggesting itwas a natural death.

Divisional Manager of the forest H M Bhonsle said thatpreliminary reports suggest the death of panther was naturalas all the body organs of the beast were intact.

However, a wildlife enthusiast Bheemsen Dongarwar saidthere was less possibility of natural death as the areawhere the wild animal was found dead was infamous forpoaching.

The reason behind the animals death could be ascertainedonly after postmortem which according to Bhonsle will beperformed on Saturday.
